Inspired by his book One Last Song for My Father: A Son’s Memoir, author Edwin Fontánez is currently developing it into a play. Selected to participate in the Kennedy Center Local Theatre Residency program (March 25-29, 2024), Fontánez’s script was workshopped for a week at the REACH, culminating in 2 invited public readings.

The production was invited back to be presented at the Kennedy Center Local Theatre Festival (August 24, 2024), a day-long free event with public workshops and readings where Fontánez presented a revised version of the script in the Justice Forum at the REACH.
