Exit Studio celebrates and honors the spirit and resilience of women all around the world and all walks of life and cultures this Women’s History Month.
For more than 25 years, Exit Studio Publishing has not only been creating literature with a strong cultural identity, but also featuring strong, positive female characters at the core of all its literary offerings. These characters are not only support the core of most of the stories but also are a solid representation of determined women helping other characters navigate their troubles by setting a strong moral example.
As our small contribution, we share with you some of our most memorable characters from our most cherished original works for children.
The characters and books shown in the video are (in order of appearance):
Atabey (Mother Earth) and Até with Guanín from “On This Beautiful Island” (2004)
Doña Ana from “Heart of the Imaginero: Little Wood Carver” (2000)
Flora, Fauna, and Xochiquetzal from “Hadas, Sirenas y Sapos” (2008)
Camila and her mother from “Camila quiere escribir” (2013)
Doña Sol and Minerva from “The Illuminated Forest” (2017)
